If you are looking for snacks or some basic staples there is a small convenience store at Encantame resorts. To get there exit the Playa Encanto gate and at the bottom of the hill, just after you make the sharp left turn you will see a drive on the right heading to Encantame. Take this drive and the store will be up the hill on .the left.
The nearest gas and full size store are located on the edge of town. Take the main road, Freemont, toward town. After about 7 miles you will come to a stop sign. On your right is a gas station. If you turn right at the stop sign you will see a Walmart on the left.

The estuary, Estero Morua, is a protected area and wildlife sanctuary. You may take non-motorized craft, such as a kayak, into the Estuary but any type of motorize craft is strictly prohibited. If you are caught with a motorized craft in the estuary it may be seized and forfeited.

There is folklore saying if you urinate on a stingray sting it will stop stinging. All this will do is lead to possible infection. The Red Cross is ready and equipped to deal with stings. They are located at 140 Freemont just before Combo Taco about ¼ mile from Benito Juarez
